Antonio: Jessica? Jessica, are you all right?
Jessica: I'm fine, but Nash isn't. I -- I don't know. I think that he's sick. Hurry, please! He needs help!
Evangeline: Hmm.
Cristian: Oh. Wow.
Evangeline: Huh.
Cristian: Was that for anything in particular or did I just get in the way of a random kiss?
Evangeline: Does it have to be for something in particular?
Cristian: Hmm -- no.
Evangeline: Then what are you waiting for, Cristian?
Cristian: I am so proud of you. I think you made the right choice. You're going to be a great DA.
Evangeline: Thank you. That's a pretty big stack of bills you got over there.
Cristian: Yeah. My big fight didn't turn out to be quite the payday I expected. In fact, it's just the opposite -- I mean, look at this. 10 bucks for two aspirin. That's five bucks a pill.
Evangeline: That is criminal. How can a hospital charge all that?
Cristian: Who's going to stop them? They got to pay for the lights, right, and they have a lot of lights, lights they never turn off.
Evangeline: Seriously. Cris, those are all medical bills?
Cristian: Yep. And it seems every time I pay one, I get two more.
Natalie: Welcome home, John.
John: It's so clean. Are you sure this is my place?
Natalie: Well, I told you -- it's disinfected top to bottom.
John: What's that?
Natalie: That's an air purifier. I also have somebody coming to clean every day for you.
John: Every day? I'll die of cleanliness.
Natalie: Hey, you know, come on. Don't make fun of me. I -- I think I really did a good job with this place.
John: Yeah, you did, but this ain't going to work.
Adriana: Do you have any idea why Bo wanted to see us?
Rex: None. Do you?
Adriana: No. Why would I ask you if I knew?
Rex: Well, I don't know. Maybe you were testing me.
Adriana: I wasn't.
Rex: No! Definitely not. Maybe he does.
Adriana: Well, if he knows that the baby is alive, maybe he knows who the baby is.
Rex: Look, that's a stretch. Come on, Adriana. How could he have possibly figured that out?
Adriana: Uh -- you did.
Rex: Good point. But I covered my tracks -- I tried to, anyway.
Adriana: Michael and Marcie would lose Tommy if Bo found out and that would devastate them, not to mention it would ruin Tommy's life and we --
Rex: "We" didn't do anything except find out and not tell anyone about him being a kidnapped baby. That would make us accessories.
Adriana: I don't like that word -- "accessory."
Rex: Oh, I thought you loved it with your furry vest and fuzzy hat and boots --
Adriana: This is serious, Rex! I don't want to go to jail. I wouldn't do well in jail.
Rex: Like I would? Look at me. I would be the belle of the ball in cellblock D.
Adriana: Oh.
Bo: Come on in, Balsom.
Rex: Just me?
Bo: Just you.
Todd: How is she? What's wrong with her?
Paige: She's in critical condition.
Todd: Specifics.
Paige: It's her heart.
Paige: I know how you feel and we are doing everything we can for Blair. Dr. Newman is a good cardiologist.
Todd: I -- I want the best cardiologist.
Paige: We can only wait and see now. We'll see if she responds to the antibiotics. I'm sorry.
Todd: That's not good enough for me. Go and do something about this.
Paige: I would if I could. I promise. I'm just -- I'll go check on her, I'll let you know if there's any change.
Evangeline: I'm so sorry.
Todd: You know why this is happening, don't you? Because of me. Because I caused her to lose that baby. Yeah.
Evangeline: Paige said it has nothing to do with that, Todd.
Todd: She and I were down in the sunroom earlier and we said goodbye to the baby. It was a little boy, and I think it was too much for Blair. Her heart's failing because of me, because I've broken it.
Spencer: You're going to recant your testimony, tell the judge that you were wrong? That I'm actually competent, I'm not incompetent to stand trial?
Marty: Well, if I do, the judge will order a new trial and you and I both know you will be found guilty.
Spencer: Yeah? And what about your so-called expert testimony? Huh, doc? I mean, everybody's going to know that you were always saying that I was insane because you hate Todd manning that much.
Marty: Hmm. Probably.
Spencer: Hmm? Might have your license revoked.
Marty: Maybe.
Spencer: They might even press criminal charges for lying under oath.
Marty: Hmm. Yeah, they just might, but you know what? If I truly believe that I made a mistake -- well, I'd rather lose my career.
Spencer: Do what you have to do.
Natalie: You know, John, I thought -- you know, I thought you had finally figured out what was important in life. I mean, was that the meds talking?
John: There are a lot of things that are important to me.
Natalie: What your-- life? Isn't that important -- your family, love?
John: Yes, they are all important.
Natalie: Ok, then just do what the doctors tell you to do for just a little while longer and then you can get out of here, happy and healthy.
John: Fair enough.
Natalie: "Fair enough" what? I mean, does that mean that you will let the doctors tell you you can move on and stay calm? I mean, I need -- I need your word on that, John.
Jessica: Nash? Nash, wake up.
Antonio: Jessica!
Jessica: Wake --
Antonio: Jessica, are you still ok?
Jessica: I'm fine but Nash isn't.
Antonio: All right, I got a hold of a search and rescue. They're on their way.
Jessica: Hurry, please! Nash -- he's -- he's freezing and he -- he was mumbling before, but he's not answering now.
Antonio: Put something over him, something dry.
Jessica: There is nothing dry in here, Antonio, and he's not moving.
Antonio: Is he still breathing?
Jessica: Yes -- no. I don't know.
Antonio: What -- ok. Remember the CPR Classes we took when Jamie was little?
Jessica: That was so long ago.
Antonio: Tilt his head back. Hold his nose and breathe into his mouth.
Rex: You know, Todd's had some bad breaks -- especially lately.
Bo: So you don't want to do it?
Rex: No! I didn't say that. Of course I'll do it. And I've been really wanting to get back on the force.
Bo: You're not getting back on the force, Balsom. You were never on the force.
Rex: Ok, true enough. But I did help out. How much does it pay?
Bo: Ah, I was hoping you'd do it as a favor to me.
Rex: You mean like buddies?
Bo: If you touch me, I will break your arms.
Rex: You're the boss -- or the friend, or whatever. I'll do some checking around and get back to you.
Bo: Yeah, all right. The sooner, the better.
Rex: Gotcha -- buddy.
Bo: Oh, God. Oh. Yeah. What is it now, Balsom? What'd you --
Vincent: Oh, I'm sorry, Commissioner. It's Vincent Jones. I was looking for detective Vega.
Bo: Well, I don't think he's anywhere in here.
Vincent: Yeah. I thought you might know where he is. He's been handling the arson investigation on my warehouse.
Bo: Yeah -- that's the arson/murder investigation. I understand your associate died in that fire?
Vincent: Yeah, that -- that's right, Ted.
Bo: Yeah. Yeah. I've been briefed on that case. We're expecting a report on the accelerant that was used.
Vincent: Detective Vega wanted me to compile a list of people who might have something against me.
Bo: Well -- that's -- that's quite a list.
Vincent: I'm in the business of making money, not friends.
Bo: "Nash Brennan"?
Vincent: Yeah. I lent him some cash and he wasn't too happy about the interest rates. Like I said, I'm a businessman.
Bo: Yeah, ok, and "Cristian Vega"?
Vincent: Maybe he thinks that I wrecked his career.
Cristian: Hey.
Adriana: Hey. I hope you don't mind me dropping by.
Cristian: No, not at all. What's up?
Adriana: Do I have to have a reason to visit my cousin?
Cristian: Usually, yes.
Adriana: That is so cool. It's like a painting on a painting.
Cristian: It's actually a painting on a photo. I'm tinting it, trying something different.
Adriana: I like.
Cristian: Thanks. It's just an experiment. Besides, it's cheaper. Can't really afford to spend a lot of money on supplies right now.
Adriana: Oh, tell me about it. Layla and I just spent a load of cash on supplies for our company.
Cristian: And you guys will make it as soon as you start selling stuff.
Adriana: Thanks to your pictures, I hope it'll be soon. You're so talented, and those pictures you took of Jessica wearing our bra -- wow.
Cristian: Hey, that was all Jess. I just pulled the trigger.
Adriana: I don't know how I can repay you.
Cristian: You will, as soon as that spread comes out with all those hot models.
Adriana: Yeah. I can't help but think it's going to go. I've been so lucky -- I mean, I've got my company, I've got Rex, I even have a decent relationship with my mother. It's all going great.
Cristian: Really? Then why do you have that look on your face?
Adriana: What look?
Cristian: Come on, Adriana, I could always tell. Something's bugging you.
Adriana: Ok. Maybe I know something that I wish I didn't know.
Cristian: Ok -- what is it? Come on. If you can't tell your cousin, who can you tell, right?
Adriana: You know, when I was little, the nuns had all these rules -- this was right, that was wrong, and nothing in between and I liked that. It was a lot easier.
Cristian: So you're stuck between right and wrong?
Adriana: Yeah, and it's a really big deal, Cris. And what I can't figure out is, is it ok to do something wrong even though it's for the right reasons.
Evangeline: Continue doing what you're doing -- be here for her. Love her.
Paige: We're losing her.
Doctor: All right, come on. Clear! Come on Blair
Nash: You're sick, sick, sick, sick.
Jessica: Sick? You were lying there. You weren't -- you weren't moving. You -- I thought you were going to die.
Nash: I was cold.
Jessica: Cold? Well, you're the one that wanted me to get naked.
Nash: It is -- it is a known fact --
Jessica: Oh --
Nash: Sharing body heat --
Jessica: You wouldn't know a known fact if it bit you right in the ass.
Nash: That doesn't even make any sense.
Jessica: Yeah, well --
Nash: Let's just forget about it.
Jessica: Yeah, don't worry. Don't worry. I am going to forget about this whole thing. I am going to -- sharing body heat -- heat -- what --
Nash: Good, done. Done. Forget it.
Jessica: You loaning me these gloves I didn't want in the first place!
Paige: All right.
Doctor: Clear! Did we get anything?
Paige: No. Go again.
Todd: Blair!
Doctor: Get him out of here.
Todd: Get away from me. Don't you do this to me now!
Doctor: Clear!
Nurse: Please, sir.
Todd: Blair! I need you now. The kids need you. We all need you.
Nurse: Clear.
Doctor: Up the joules again.
Todd: Blair, I love you.
Doctor: One more time.
Todd: You got to come back to me.
Paige: Wait, stop. We've got her back.
Todd: Thank God.
Natalie: John, the night that you went to visit your father's grave, it was probably the happiest night of my life. I decorated this whole place with colorful balloons, and I -- this card. "John, looking forward to seeing together. All my love, Natalie." And then I found out you were dead. You've been given another chance, John. We have been given another chance. Please, don't you dare take that away from me.
John: I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see the balloons. I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize my recovery.
Natalie: Promise?
John: I promise.
Natalie: Thank you. Thank you so much.
John: It's nice. So, what exactly can I do, doc?
Natalie: Um -- well, I mean, you can do whatever you want, as long as you don't leave this apartment.
John: Whoo-hoo.
Natalie: I'm going to go get your meds, ok?
Marty: I'm not recanting my testimony, Spencer. You're going to Wingdale.
Spencer: I need to stand trial.
Marty: Yeah. I know you do. And I came here today because I needed to know that I was making the right decision. And I am. You know, on the surface, you -- you appear sane, and I know you tried to make it look like you were unfit to stand trial, but I'm good at what I do, and I see you for what you are. You are seriously disturbed. You suffer from a chronic narcissistic personality disorder that allows you to believe that you are not responsible for your actions.
Spencer: And I can't be responsible, Dr. Saybrooke, because they weren't my actions!
Marty: Exactly. And when the doctors at Wingdale feel you are ready to take responsibility for your actions, you will stand trial. But I don't think you will ever leave Wingdale.
Spencer: Why can't you just go away and leave me alone, man?
Paige: Because we need to save Blair's life.
Cristian: Would you like to tell me what this "wrong for the right reasons" is?
Adriana: No. I can't talk about it, not specifically.
Cristian: Hmm. You know, there are a lot of scenarios running inside my head right now.
Adriana: Sorry. It's just that I people that don't deserve to be hurt if it got out. But if I tell the truth, it would really be the right thing for somebody else. It would totally change his -- their life. Sometimes, I feel like I'm trying to play god, and that is so wrong.
Cristian: Well, is it -- is it Viki?
Adriana: I'm not telling.
Cristian: Bo?
Adriana: I told you, no names. Don't ask.
Cristian: Wow. This -- this must be a really big secret.
Adriana: It is. Somebody's life depends on it. Someone innocent. And if I tell the truth, then this person's life will be full of lies and arguments and terrible things. But if I keep it to myself, even though it's not the "right" right thing to do -- I mean, a -- a priest might even say it's a sin, but -- but this person's life will be full of love and a great family. And he will -- or she -- will be happy.
Cristian: Well, you can't really know that.
Adriana: Actually, in this case, I'm absolutely positive.
Cristian: Well, I don't think you're really confused, Adriana.
Adriana: You're right. And what do I care if a priest thinks I'm a good person, as long as god does, right? And god would want us to --
Cristian: "Us"? Well, wait a minute. By "us," do you mean you and Rex?
Adriana: No. I'm just used to saying "us."
Cristian: Right.
Adriana: You really helped me, Cris. Thank you.
Cristian: Anytime.
Adriana: Hmm. I love you. See you later.
Cristian: Bye.
Rex: I saw your car out front, and I've got something to tell you.
Adriana: Is it about the job that Bo gave you?
Rex: On the nose, baby cakes. He wants me to find evidence that can tie Todd to spencer's kidnapping.
Adriana: No. Then Todd will go back to prison. He's already lost so much already. You have to turn Bo down.
Rex: He'll just get somebody else. They may actually find something that nails Todd.
Adriana: So, you're going to take the job to make sure that doesn't happen.
Rex: Yep. And I got this gut feeling that I'm not going to find anything.
Spencer: What's wrong with Blair?
Paige: Dr. Newman diagnosed her with myocarditis.
Spencer: Is he sure? What's being done for her so far?
Paige: He has her on ACE Inhibitors and beta-blockers.
Spencer: Oh, my God. That Newman's an idiot, you know.
Paige: No, but he's -- he's not as knowledgeable as you are. Spencer, if you ever loved Blair, help us save her now.
Todd: I think she heard me. I think she came back for the kids.
Evangeline: And for you. I heard the doctors say they're going to try another course of drugs.
Todd: Well, why isn't she responding to anything? Yeah, you know, I blame myself for this, but I mostly blame you.
Marty: Wait, what happened?
Todd: Blair might die, and it's because of you. If you hadn't let Spencer go free, none of this would have happened.
Evangeline: Attacking her is not going to help Blair.
Marty: Todd, I know how you and I feel about each other, but I am sorry. And I truly hope she recovers.
Todd: She better. Or this is going to stay with you the rest of your life.
Marty: Hi. It's Marty Saybrooke. Look, I need your help.
Bo: Well, I'll have my guys check out everybody on your list.
Vincent: You know, commissioner, maybe I should put myself on that list, because detective Vega -- he thinks that I burned down my own building for the insurance payout.
Bo: Well, Vega is a good detective, and I think he's going to look into every lead.
Vincent: Wouldn't it be kind of stupid for me to burn down my own building? I didn't even have any insurance. I stopped paying the premiums. I mean, commissioner, there was nothing for me to gain.
Bo: Right. Ok, I'll have detective Vega check this out, and he will get back to you if he comes up with anything.
Vincent: Then I suppose I should say thank you. Thank you.
Bo: You're welcome. Yeah?
Officer: It's from arson.
Bo: Ah. It's probably the accelerant report on the Jones fire.
Officer: Gasoline?
Bo: "Turpentine."
Antonio: Oh, I'm so glad you guys are all right.
Jessica: Yeah, no thanks to this jerk.
Nash: I saved your tush. We would have frozen if we had stayed in the car.
Jessica: Oh, please. You almost got us buried alive!
Nash: Aw!
Antonio: What the hell is going on with you guys?
Jessica: Nothing. Nothing is going on with us. I just spent a lot of time with somebody who I just found out is a complete ass! Can you just take me home now?
Antonio: Yes, of course. A warm bath will be good for U. And, Nash, you should probably go to a hospital and get checked out. I'll drop you off.
Nash: I'm fine. Look, I -- I ran out of gas. You think you could give me a lift to the gas station?
Man: Do better than that. Got a gas can in our rig.
Nash: Perfect. Antonio, thank you for getting me out of here!
Antonio: Oh, I'm just glad I got to you guys when I did. It's getting colder. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't found you?
John: So you're sure Truman's getting transferred? 48 hours, huh? Ok. Thanks.
Natalie: Ahem. Here, take these.
John: What are they?
Natalie: It's an antibiotic, painkillers, and something to keep you calm.
John: I'm very calm.
Natalie: John, you're going to have to taper off of these. You can't just quit cold turkey. I mean, you're probably going to have some mood swings, some anger --
John: Maybe I have a right to be angry.
Natalie: Yeah, no doubt. But not right now.
John: How long do I have to take these things anyway?
Natalie: A few more weeks.
[John sighs]
Natalie: Show me your hand. Under the tongue.
John: Look, don't treat me like a kid.
Natalie: Humor me. Thank you.
John: You happy now?
Natalie: Yes, thank you. Ok, look, do you need anything?
John: No, no. Look, you've done enough, all right? I'm sorry if I'm so irritable, all right? I'm sorry if I snapped at you. It's just I haven't -- I haven't been alone since the day of the accident, and I think maybe I just -- maybe I just need a little space.
Natalie: You -- you want me to leave?
John: Don't take it that way. All right? Just go do something nice for yourself, all right? I think I'll just -- I'm a little tired. I'm going to get some sleep.
Natalie: Ok. Ok. Well, just take the phone, put it next to your bed, and call me if you need anything.
John: I will.
Todd: Thanks for being here for me.
Evangeline: That's what friends are for.
Todd: Yeah, I need Blair, don't I? I need her to get through this. You know that I'm not going to lie to her anymore. No more secrets. I know what I want to do. I know what I have to do.
Evangeline: My god. Is that the ring you gave her the first time?
Todd: Yeah. I was going to get rid of it, but I just couldn't. And if she gets through this, I'm going to give it to her, if she'll have me.
Spencer: Is there any damage to her aortic valve?
Paige: No, it seems to be functioning.
Spencer: Did you say they performed an endoscopy and echocardiogram, right?
Paige: Yes, it's normal. No leaks.
Spencer: I assume he's treating her with corticosteroids?
Paige: Yes, but she flatlined. She didn't respond to the defib. We had to shock her three times. We almost lost her.
Spencer: Well, doctor, in your medical opinion, what brought her out of it?
Paige: I don't know.
Spencer: Was Todd in the room? Hmm?
Paige: Yes, he was.
Spencer: Because as unscientific as it sounds, it was Blair's love for Todd that gave her the will to live that's keeping her alive. Isn't that just a peachy storybook ending?
Paige: It's not the ending, Spencer. She needs your help.
Spencer: I'm sorry. It's beyond my expertise.
Paige: This is exactly your expertise!
Spencer: I can't help you.
Paige: Oh.
Spencer: I'm sorry, Blair. I mean, I could help you. But you know, if I can't have you, no one can.
