Congratulations to OLTL for its 13 Daytime Emmy Nominations: Outstanding
Drama Series, Outstanding Writing and Directing Teams, Outstanding Supporting Actor Brian Kerwin
(Charlie), Achievement for a Casting Director, Achievement in Multiple
Camera Editing, Achievement in Hairstyling, Achievement in Costume Design,
Achievement in Lighting Direction, Achievement in Music Direction and
Composition, Outstanding Original Songs "Chemistry," "Little Starr," and
"You're the Freak."
ABC will broadcast the "35th Annual
Daytime Emmy Awards" on Friday, June 20, 2008, from Hollywood's Kodak

After an 18-year absence from OLTL, Andrea Evans is back as Tina Clayton Lord
Roberts Rogan Vickers. She left the role in 1990, although the character
appeared until 1997. Andrea just finished taping the final episodes of Passions
where she has been playing Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane since 2000. In 1999, she
briefly appeared as Tawny on B&B. Although no air date has been announced, Evans
is expected to appear in May during sweeps.
On Thursday & Friday, May 8 and 9, the rapper Snoop Dogg will be a surprise guest at a bachelorette
party for Adriana (Melissa Fumero), performing two songs,
"Sensual Seduction" and "Life of 'Da Party," from his latest album, Ego
Trippin'. He interacts with Adriana, Rex
(John-Paul Lavoisier), and Roxy (Ilene Kristen). In scenes with Bo (Robert S.
Woods), a surprising connection between Snoop and Llanview will be revealed. His
version of the OLTL theme song
will be used for his two
episodes.
On January 26, 2008, at the Hyatt Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles,
California, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial
Achievement in Daytime Serials was presented to Larry Carpenter for OLTL Episode #9947 which aired on
June 6, 2007, when Michael led Nash to complete Antonio's surgery following the
bomb blast in the hospital. Mr. Carpenter's Directorial Team consisted of
Associate Director Teresa Anne Cicala, Stage Managers Alan P. Needleman and
Keith Greer, and Production Associate Anthony Wilkinson. This is Mr. Carpenter's
second DGA Award. He won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime
Serials for OLTL Episode #8849 in 2003 and was also nominated for that series
for Episode #9686 in 2006, Episode #9385 in 2005 and Episode #8655 in 2002. The other directorial nominees
were Casey
Childs, AMC (Episode #9669), Scott McKinsey, GH (Episode #11228), Ellen
Wheeler, GL (Episode #15221), and Christopher Goutman, ATWT (Episode #12971).
