Prospect Park's Rich Frank and Jeffrey Kwatinetz announced on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, that "the launch of OLTL and AMC on TOLN have been shelved." They cannot "meet deadlines to get OLTL on the air in a reasonable time period following its January 13, 2012 ABC finale," because they have failed to find a solution to their "mounting issues."

OLTL won in the Outstanding Daily Drama category at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Scott Evans (Fish) and Brett Claywell (Kyle), who make up the popular Kish storyline, and head writer Ron Carlivati accepted the award in NYC.
