Frances is the only remaining actor from “Days” original cast.
Alice is the heart and soul of Salem. If you need to share your burdens,
she is the lady to talk to. Alice always knows the right thing to say and
makes others feel better after they’ve talked to her.
Alice was married to Dr. Tom Horton, and they really were the soap’s
supercouple. Through the years they stuck together through sickness and in
health, for richer and for poorer, until death parted them. And the day Tom
died Alice grieved but as if she understood God's plan in taking away her
husband, and she never pointed a finger of blame or was angry at the
situation. Instead, Alice stood strong. She knew that Tom was not in body
anymore but still with her in spirit. Every time a family member is in
trouble, she will ask Tom to watch over them. This gives Alice comfort. She
will always treasure their time together.
Throughout the years, Alice Horton has stayed the same. She is the mother
of Salem and respected by everyone.
