Some Observations:
We all knew that MCE (Annie)’s exit from the show could really only
happen
in two ways. One, she goes off to jail or, two, she goes back to Oak Haven. It
was also obvious that her exit would be dramatic, occurring during February
Sweeps.
I realize that in the world of soaps, things often need to be over
the top. When characters are “crazy,” they go way overboard like kidnapping
people, blowing things up, etc. Such is the case with Annie’s exit from Pine
Valley. It must be difficult for viewers who have experience with mental
illness to see it played out as it often is and not taken seriously. I have
to say that MCE really got to me in the scene with JR when she was telling
him what Oak Haven was like and why she never wanted to go back.
Well, we now all know that our neighborhood Reverend Ricky is not such a
nice guy. In fact, he killed Zach and does not seem to feel bad about doing
so either. I guess he and his cohorts believed that in killing Zach, the
info. he had on them would die with him. WRONG!!!! Our wonderful Zach left
evidence of their misdeeds somewhere, and Ricky is on a mission to find them,
even if he has to eliminate the Widow Slater to do so. Is this where Griffin
will swoop in and be her new hero?
Speaking of the Widow Slater. I really liked her performance right after Zach
died. Alicia really nailed it! I also felt that when she began to display
her anger at people (Ryan and Greenlee), the old feisty Kendall was back.
However, when she walked out of the hospital to look for Mommy, and now
seems like a limp dishrag, I see a huge setback in her character. Kendall
is tough, and they are making her appear weak and stupid.
WOW, what a wedding Ryan and Greenlee had. No friends, only Jack for
family. They panicked when the caterer cancelled over what, 6 people?
I wrote a few weeks ago that I was not thrilled with the introduction of
NuScott. He seemed rather snarky when we first saw him again in prison.
However, ever since he has been with Madison, I like him much better. I have
to admit though, I liked Ryan much better when he was with Madison, too. So I
have to figure that it is Madison (SG) that is making the difference.
I also spoke of my not being thrilled with NuMarrisa. Unlike NuScott, my
opinion has not changed. She is a real bitch! I don’t see why JR seeing
Annie was any of her business. She called JR out on it when he inquired
about who was calling her phone one time. She told him he had no right to
ask. I understand JR was underhanded in deceiving Marissa about what was
going on to get back joint custody, but if JR had not have had to keep Annie
a secret, she would not have had a meltdown.
Well, knock me down with a feather. Bianca and Reese are getting divorced!
Gee, no one saw that coming LOL! At the very least Bianca will finally have
a storyline and not just be a prop for Kendall and Erica. What I do not
understand (and I admit I have no legal knowledge) is how Reese could have
any rights to Miranda and Gabrielle? Unless she legally adopted them, but
still Bianca is both Miranda and Gabby’s biological mother.
I won’t even get started on Ryan, because it will just give me heartburn.
Let me just say he has his hero cape on once again and is the only one who
will be able to find his daughter. Maybe if he spent more time with his
children, they would be better off. I also don’t see Greenlee as being a
“real” Mom to Emma or Spike. She seems like the “Let’s get a Nanny, Ryan” or
“Have you ever thought of Boarding School?”
